US herbal extracts producer Sabinsa Corporation has named Jeff Lind as its new chief executive officer.
Lind, who joins Sabinsa from Windmill Health Products, where he was director of marketing and sales, will oversee all operational aspects at the Piscataway, NJ-based company, including supply chain and purchasing management, and financial expenditures, said the company.
Lind will also help to "develop strategic direction and determine optimal business practices for the company," it added.
Lind has more than 17 years of business experience, including senior roles in sales and marketing, corporate finance, supply chain and risk management.
"We are excited to have Mr. Lind join our team of professionals," said Muhammed Majeed, founder of Sabinsa. "As CEO, Jeff brings rich experience and expertise that will be a tremendous asset as the company begins a phase of substantial growth to meet the future needs of the industry."
Sabinsa is a manufacturer and supplier of herbal extracts, cosmeceuticals, minerals and specialty fine chemicals.
The company has manufacturing facilities in India dedicated to the production of herbal extracts, phytochemicals, biotech ingredients and supercritical extracts.
In the US, Sabinsa operates a 42,000-square-foot facility in Payson, Utah, which produces capsules, tablets, bulk custom pre-mixes, drum-to-hopper blends, stick packs and powdered drinks.
